Vibrent’s Commitment to Biohealth in Virginia

We’re in the midst of an exciting transformation. The convergence of science, technology, and health is creating new medical breakthroughs, and the possibilities for innovation are limitless. Consumers are generating more data now than ever before from wearable devices and sensors, while technologies to make sense of that data are becoming more advanced every day. These advances present an enormous opportunity for Vibrent to collaborate with the state of Virginia to further solidify it as a biohealth leader.

Earlier this week we met with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to discuss just that, and how Vibrent can help make it a reality. Taking advantage of Virginia’s already burgeoning biohealth industry, Vibrent is bringing together experts in translational science, technology, consumer behavior, marketing, enterprise software development, and clinical research. These experts are building on Virginia’s  leadership in various technologies such as consumer engagement, data analytics, wearables and machine learning. With their combined insights, we can better understand how factors like genomics, the environment, lifestyle, and behaviors impact health and how to enable personalized health for individuals.

Such a mission will take a robust network of partnerships between industry and academia. Vibrent has already forged partnerships with leading universities, research institutions, and tech companies. It will also take state-level investments into areas like workforce development, training, R&D, and infrastructure. Virginia is committed to this mission of becoming a biohealth leader and Vibrent stands firmly with the state.

“We believe in Virginia’s ecosystem and know the state has what it takes to succeed,” says Praduman Jain, founder and CEO of Vibrent Health. “Virginia is close in proximity to leading organizations such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), National Science Foundation (NSF), and health advocacy organizations like the American Diabetes Association and American Heart Association. In addition, Virginia has nurtured a robust technology market, particularly around cybersecurity and data science.”

At Vibrent, we believe that a rising tide lifts all boats. By helping establish Virginia as a leading biohealth region, we can propel economic, organizational, and individual progress. We can attract top companies and jobs to the region and boost our economy. We can enable leading institutions to accelerate clinical research and discoveries. And, we can help Virginia’s citizens live longer and healthier lives.
